I've had no trouble with running the game with DS4Windows and using the DS4. Whatever direction it shows in the game is the same direction you use on the DS4's D-Pad. The D-Pad mapping is universal for all controllers. Actually, all trigger buttons are the same as what the game displays. Just imagine an X-BOX controller and replace the letters with symbols.ī (a relatively useless button for the game) = Circle. If you need help with the layout, let me know. I just thought there might be a small workaround out there to get the DS4 working on the game as it's supposed to. But there is nothing wrong with third party software. Well I have no problem with using DS4Windows, but if the game is supposed to have native support for the DS4, then I would like to have that working. I highly recommend dling the third party support. Why do you want to use your controller without DS4Windows? You can calibrate settings, and the input times are far more accurate. #BATMAN ARKHAM KNIGHT PC CONTROLLER NOT WORKING SOFTWARE#I know I can use third party software to use my controller, like DS4Windows etc., but I want to use my controller without it. It just doesn't react when I press a button.Īre there anyone else that have this problem and is there any way to fix this? However nothing I press on my controller works in this game (Except for the PS button that brings up the Steam Overlay), but the game does recognize it because it shows the DS4 button layout on the screen. I have my DS4 controller connected wirelessly to my PC and it works 100% with all my games on Steam, it works perfectly in Steam Big Picture Mode too. I have noticed that not too many people have talked about this issue after the new DS4 support was added to Steam. Or just displaying the rough percentage in the Steam Overlay, but oh well :). #BATMAN ARKHAM KNIGHT PC CONTROLLER NOT WORKING FULL#Atleast they could have made it so that your light bar indicates roughly how full your battery is, with color (Like with DS4Windows). ![]() I also noticed that there is no way for Steam to show your controller's battery percentage (Which is weird). I can enable Steam sontroller support for the game, but then the layout will be in Xbox format, and what is the use of that since the game has native DS4 support. ![]() In other words if I disable Steam controller support for the game, then the controller should still work but it doesn't. I forgot to add that all my games on steam (The ones with Xbox controller support) work with my controller because Steam emulates an Xbox controller with my DS4 controller, however Batman Arkham Knight does not need an emulated Xbox controller to work with DS4 since it has native DS4 support. Hey SenMithrarin85, thanks for the reply. Its great valve added native support, but like most things they do, its half-assed to say the least. Or just use an x-input wrapper and be able to see battery life and use the controller without such headaches. Try choosing "manage game" and changing the template to "gamepad" seems to work for most awkward games. Its why when viewing your library in big picture mode, the game will have a keyboard icon on its grid artwork rather than a controller. Most newer titles have them already but some do not. Originally posted by SenMithrarin85:If you use your controller wirelessly, then you should not use steam's support for it anyway for one simple reason: it lacks any means of checking the battery life lolįrom what I understand, to use a controller through steam, you need to assign a profile for that game to use a controller.
